Pathways to Teaching

Our college has several pathways to becoming a teacher…

Elementary Education Program

Available on campus and online, elementary education provides a foundation of knowledge and skills for future K-6 grade teachers.

Secondary Education Program

Secondary educators teach in high schools, junior high schools, and middle schools and prepare to teach in one or more teaching fields in grades 6-12.

Call Me MISTER Program

A national initiative designed to attract men of color to the teaching profession

K-STEP UP Program

A Kansas program that creates a pathway to teacher licensure for students in Kansas City, KS and Liberal, KS

Troops to Teachers

A bachelor’s and master’s pathway program for transitioning military members

Master of Arts in Teaching Program

An online program for career changers who have a bachelor’s degree but want to transition to teaching
