Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program by June 1, 2022, OR have a related doctoral degree and been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013.
- Professional counseling experience (e.g., school counseling, clinical)
- Successful counseling supervision experience
- Potential for excellence in instruction and advising both on-campus and online
- Ability to implement and integrate instructional technology in learning management systems
- Successful experience working with and supporting diverse populations and pursuing equity and social justice
- Membership and involvement in professional counseling organizations
- Record of attendance at professional counseling conferences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a school counselor
- Ability to support school counseling as a comprehensive program (e.g., ASCA National Model)
- Record of excellence in instruction and advising, both on-campus and online
- National certified counselor, school counseling license, licensed professional counselor, and/or other counseling credentials
- Knowledge or and/or experience with accreditation processes and procedures
- Record of leadership in professional counseling organizations
