Purposes of AIM
 
  • To create a climate for the development of high quality instructional materials for vocational-technical education.
  • To identify problems within the area of vocational instructional materials development and to find solutions to these problems.
  • To encourage innovation in planning, developing, and disseminating vocational instructional materials.
  • To help shape and implement state and national policies relating to instructional materials development for vocational-technical education.
  • To suggest qualifications for persons entering the field of instructional materials development.
  • To stimulate visibility and identification for the vocational instruction materials section and membership.
  • To develop channels of cooperation and communication between vocational instructional materials centers and personnel.
  • To stimulate the interchange of information among the members.
  • To stimulate professional advancement of members.
  • To encourage leadership in the field of vocational instructional materials development.
  • To develop a service function within the vocational instructional materials section.
