Computer plugged into the World

Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century

Many teachers are experiencing changes within their classroom as new technologies are being developed. For some this is nothing new - they have been modifying their teaching ever since the first personal computer was sold. But today there are teachers and technology leaders who want to not only have technology in their classroom, but aslo prepare their students to use the technology for the future.

Appropriate Technology Use

Teachers realize that there is more to technology than just placing it before students, they also need to recognize that there is an appropriate way to use the technology. This website was designed as a companion for the Digital Citizenship in Schools: A Guide for Teachers and Technology Leaders. This website has resources from the Handbook as well as more "up-to-date" information for teachers and technology leaders. Some of the materials will require a special code which can be found in the Digital Citizenship in Schools: A Guide for Teachers and Technology Leaders which will unlock these resources for use in the classroom or school.

We hope you enjoy the website and welcome any comments or suggestions to make it even better.
