Council for Public School Improvement

The Council for Public School Improvement is a public school/university partnership between Kansas school districts and the Kansas State University College of Education.

CPSI was established in 1986 and focuses on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of public school instruction and student achievement through targeted professional development.

Please see the Conference page for descriptions and registration information. All sessions are in person at the K-State Alumni Center and run from 8:30 a.m. to check-in to 3:00 p.m. dissmisal.

CPSI Membership

Membership in CPSI is open to any school district wanting to collaborate on school effectiveness and school improvement issues through sharing resources and participating in professional development programs, activities, and research.

Membership Fees
The annual membership fee is based on the district's student enrollment by September 20 of the pervious year. The fee formula for each district is $0.20 x (student enrollment) with a minimum fee of $200 and a maximum fee of $600.
