Overview of Program
Welcome to the Adult and Continuing Education program at K-State! The field of Adult and Continuing Education is a fast growing field in today’s challenging economy. The Adult Education program at K-State has a unique blend of opportunities for working adult students to further their knowledge and education of Adult Education theory and practice. We offer a unique blend of both online courses and two Kansas City locations to better serve the needs of our students. Our Fort Leavenworth program continues our ongoing collaboration with the military community in training our nation’s military leaders, while our new Olathe campus serves working professionals in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Our online program provides a unique and flexible learning environment for students around the world.
Is the K-State Adult Education program right for you?
The Adult Education Master’s degree is for working professionals looking to increase their knowledge of adult education theory and techniques for personal and professional practice. In the K-State Adult Education program you can expect challenging and insightful coursework and the opportunity to develop personal relationships with both students and faculty. Additionally, students are often encouraged to incorporate their diverse professional and personal life experiences into the discussions, which provides multiple foundations for understanding how theory develops into practice.
Three Delivery Options:
Ft. Leavenworth – This is a face-to-face program specifically designed and limited to those persons affiliated with Ft. Leavenworth. The Master’s degree and Doctoral degree courses are offered on site.
Olathe – This is a face-to-face program which may include some hybrid courses (supplemented by online activities) based in Olathe, Kansas. The Master’s degree and Doctoral degree courses are offered in hybrid format.
Online – This is the best option for distance students who are not located in the Kansas City area. The Master’s Degree courses are offered online.
